QUEER BOOK CLUB

WHERE STORIES & COMMUNITY BLEND
Welcome to Queer Book Club at El Sueñito Brewing Seattle and Frelard Tamales! All gender expressions and sexual orientations are welcomed. Join us from 7pm - 9pm every Wednesday to read and discuss books with queer themes or characters written by queer authors. Every month we select a different book, mixing up subject and genre for variety, and break it down into four parts for easy reading over the month.
The first hour of every QBC meeting is for reading at book club reserved tables and enjoying our special early happy hour prices on food and drinks. Our second hour is for discussing the section of the book we've read this week and socializing.
OUR CURRENT READ
Join us for Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan (2003). This month's read is a 185 pages - a short and sweet book for a short and sweet month. Fans of the show Schitt's Creek will appreciate this gay young adult love story that takes place in a world that doesn't have a reaction to queerness, it just IS.

OUR NEXT READ
Join us in the month of March for Your Driver is Waiting by Priya Guns (2023). With a 320 page read, this electrifyingly fierce and funny social satire-- a gender-flipped reboot of the iconic 1970's film "Taxi Driver"--a rideshare driver is barely holding it together on the hunt for love, dignity and financial security . . . until she decides she's done waiting.
